Love In Action

Giving and living generously is a faith and trust issue.
We’re all dependent upon God – His grace, mercy, love, and forgiveness.
The best place you can be is in dependence upon God.
Faith journey – is learning to trust God in any and all circumstances.
1.Giving from love is modeled by God. John 3:16, Romans 15:13
a.God loved the world so much He gave His Son.
b.Jesus loved us so much He laid down His life for us.
2.Jesus taught us to give generously. John 6:1-14
a.God used the young boy to show what He could give.
b.What if the boy had decided not to give?
3.Jesus taught us to give sacrificially. Luke 21:1-4
4.We’re taught to give cheerfully. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
a.God loves a cheerful giver.
5.Give with eternity and the Kingdom in mind. Matthew 6:19-21, 24
a.Nowhere does it say that money is the root of evil. 1 Timothy states the love of money is what’s evil.
b.We live and invest in tomorrow, not eternity.
6.Give to give and be generous, not to get back. Matthew 6:1-4
a.Nowhere in scripture does it say to give so you will receive.
b.If we give, God will bless us, it may not be financially it may be joy and peace.
7.Give out of love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
a.Love like Jesus.
b.Love leads us to give.
